THE STORY:

City of Hope wrote -

Patricia Gallagher September 28, 1955 - March 19, 2016

Patty Gallagher was the wife of Jim Gallagher and mother of Michael Gallagher (Pepperdine Sigma Chi class of 2012). A series of health complications involving her liver and kidneys ultimately led to her passing on March 19, 2016.

Patty was the most loving, benevolent, friendly, and happy person to ever walk this Earth. Her love and care for others was contagious and was evident even to those who only met her for a matter of minutes. Those who knew her closely knew that she was the epitome of a mother, wife, and friend.

While Patty had no battle with cancer, this fund is being established through the Sigma Chi chapter at Pepperdine by the power of their Derby Days philanthropy to benefit the City of Hope. The City of Hope is known widely for being the leader in cancer research, and less widely for liver transplant expertise.

The family and friends of Patty hope and pray that this fund is able to save lives and further the work of the City of Hope.

Just Call On Me I can’t comprehend just how sad you must feel For the loss of someone you love. This sorrowful time must still feel unreal And you’re looking for strength from above. I hope, from my heart, that your pain will decrease, That your spirit will gain strength again, And I pray that your faith will create inner peace And that God will send blessings--Amen. Till then, if you need me to lighten your load, I’m waiting to come to your aid. Just call on me, and I’ll walk down that road, Until the dark times start to fade. Deep condolences, Ellen Citino By Karl Fuchs @poemsource.com 1 year ago
