Hi, my name is Ryan Bloch, and I am 12 years old. I love to play tennis, and my goal is to play on the varsity high school tennis team. I hope to earn a tennis scholarship that will take me to a great university.
Whenever I visited my grandparents (Mimi and Pops), I always enjoyed playing tennis with them, and sometimes even with other players from their league. Sadly, last year my Mimi passed away from cancer. Not only was she a wonderful and a loving person to her family and friends, she also helped many, many families dealing with a loved one diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. She taught me the importance of treating everyone I meet with kindness and respect. Mimi enjoyed playing tennis with me and cheering me on at tournaments. I will forever miss playing tennis with her. She always said to put my passion to a good cause. So with the help of my parents and Kure- It, I created this special fundraiser in her honor.
I am excited to join the fight to end cancer and help other people who have been diagnosed with this awful disease. Some of the people my Mimi helped, work for Kure-It Cancer, and last year they created a memorial fund in her name called, The Aileen Sherman Memorial Fund. I teamed up with these awesome people and together we created “Game On for a Kure!” The money raised will go to the cancer research teams at USC & UCLA.
Help me make a difference. Together we can help the loved ones in our lives and find an end to cancer. So join me, and let’s get our “Game On for a Kure!”
