Founded in 2005, Gateway Center (GWC) is a homeless service center that serves as the “beacon of hope” and the central point of access to the housing continuum for individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness in the city of Atlanta. GWC supports more than 5,000 people annually that are experiencing homelessness. GWC provides residential housing for 352 men which includes intensive case management services. Through a collective impact model, with a strengths based focused, GWC partners with other local non-profits to provide clients with access to services that will assist them with becoming stably housed and employed. GWC also operates a Client Engagement Center that serves nonresidential clients and provides them with support services, access to restrooms, showers, phone charging, clothing closet, lockers, and chaplain services.
