BENEFITING: The USO
USO Mission: To lift the spirits of America’s troops and their families.
USO Denver provides a touch of home to over 111,000 troops and military families annually who pass through the USO Center at Denver International Airport. USO Denver also offers morale-boosting and family-strengthening programs to the troops and military families, including over 6,000 active duty troops and 5,000 Colorado National Guard personnel and Reservists who are based in the Denver, Colorado and southern Wyoming areas.
The USO focuses on four cornerstones of care for local troops; Troops in Transition/Separation (traveling or stationed away from their loved on), Military Families, Wounded, Ill and Injured, and Families of the fallen. Nearly 250 volunteers and an Advisory Council help the USO Denver staff (including me) deliver goodness to our troops and their families year-round.
