Our main goal right now is to set up communities around the world with local activists sharing information about the pandemic of diabetes and ways to help fight this disease now. Each day there are over 4,000 people being diagnosed with this disease and it must end now.
It is simply changing your food intake or exercising. There is more to it and as of yet there is no cure for any type of diabetes. It's time to understand there is no type, we are all diabetic and in that essence we need to work together to help the cure become a reality.
This is our focus. Along with the building a the first diabetic navigation center in Clovis, California for aiding all diagnosed diabetics whether new or old with counseling and referrals to professionals in the area. Also a place for non-diagnosed people concerned about their health to get up to the minute information regarding diabetes and how to stop it now.
A few of the other features:
1. A Phone in Center operating 24 hours a day
2. Access to hospital and clinics within the area for medical treatment
3. A place for families to get help for staying during prolonged hospital stays.
There will also be counselors for explaining insurance requirements and help with negotiating with insurance carriers to get the correct coverage needed to control their diabetes.
Right now the navigation center is a dream but within a year we hope to break ground here in Clovis.
