Greetings Family, Friends, and Colleagues!!!
On October 24, 2013 I will be deploying on another medical mission to Awka, Nigeria. I am volunteering my time and nursing skills to the Anambra State University Teaching Hospital with the GEANCO foundation. Alongside a team of orthopedic surgeons and anesthesiologists, I will be providing post-surgical care to the men, women, and children of Awka who would otherwise not have the opportunities for the surgical procedures that we would consider basic here in the United States. We anticipate providing orthopedic surgeries to 50-75 patients whose mobility, or lack thereof, affects their health and quality of life.
This trip is being funded entirely through donations and by those participating in this medical mission. As a participant, I am raising funds to pay for medicine, equipment, travel, and other expenses. In order to make this trip possible, we rely on the generosity of individuals for funding. For this reason, I am writing to you to ask for any financial support you are able to contribute toward this medical mission.
While the work I do on a daily basis is rewarding in itself, this unique opportunity validates my purpose on this earth and will positively impact the lives of the people I will care for. I am excited that God chose me and granted me another opportunity to serve and be a blessing to others. I appreciate your support and prayers to make it all possible. Thank you in advance!
