Help Bridging the Gap youth achieve their educational dreams! Mile High United Way has developed new GED Cohorts to help Bridging the Gap youth further their education. We need your help to make sure youth have the support and resources they need to achieve their dreams.
“Education matters simply because the youth matter. These youth have been told – explicitly or implicitly – that they can’t do it, that they will not be successful in school or that they are too far behind to make it happen. This work is important because it reminds young people that they CAN be successful and that they CAN plan for a better future.” – Hayley Wolfe (Bridging the Gap Independent Living Coach)
Bridging the Gap is a transformative program that fundamentally changes the lives of young adults who were in the child welfare system. With the support of Independent Living Coaches and in collaboration with community partners, young adults are connected to supportive services that guide them as they transition to adulthood.
In honor of Foster Youth Awareness Month, you can help empower Bridging the Gap youth to beat the odds by supporting our GED Cohorts. Youth in the program will receive everything they need to prepare for, and pass, the GED exam, including dinner to celebrate. Your support helps us all LIVE UNITED!
