The Department of Photographs at George Eastman House cares for one of the world's best collections of photographs and related objects. The photography collection includes more than 400,000 photographs and negatives dating from the invention of photography to the present day. Currently, we are raising funds to conserve individual items from our collection that need a little extra love and care. There are many items that we would like to include in this project...too many to list here...but just to begin:
Conserve a paiting by Matinettit (read Joe Struble's blog about this project)
Fix a double daguerreotype case for two daguerreotypes by Richard B. Appleby
Just think of the possibilities!
