Mint Artists: Paint Detroit with Generosity
Team Member: Mark Loeb
We're hoping to bring back our summer jobs program this year!
May 08, 2017
What: A crowd-funding campaign that helps Mint Artists Guild, creates summer jobs for creative youth and gives original art pieces to 25 or more Detroit nonprofits.
Goal: Demonstrate generosity and connectivity as we launch a few creative careers and grow our startup Mint Artists.
Who: Mint will collaborate with an array of other local nonprofit organizations to donate original paintings, created by Detroit teens this summer. Those pieces will be hung in nonprofit offices, shelters, classrooms or used in silent auctions and fundraisers.
When: Crowdfunding will take place April 9 to around May 23. Paintings are expected to be finished and delivered by Oct. 31.
Why: Because Mint believes in creating projects that "benefit our clients, our communities and our world" and wants to launch and promote itself with a collaborative generous approach. Because Mint wants generosity baked into its DNA from the start. Because generosity is beautiful! Because creative teens need good summer job opportunities.
