George Logan, President of GTeam Sports, Inc., was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After he graduated high school in 1991, he served his Country by joining the United States Marine Corp. There he learned the importance of self-discipline and determination while also playing on his All Marine Corp Basketball team for three consecutive years. After retiring as a Veteran of the Marine Corp in 1995, Logan moved to Manassas, Virginia and raised his three daughters, Ashley, Vanessa and Deonna Logan. While encouraging his daughters to pursue academic success, he also strived for his own successes with the young people he encountered daily through officiating of local middle and high school sports. In 2005, George Logan took the talent he possessed as a basketball and football official and started his own referring association, in conjunction with his business partner, called Best Ball Sports Officials, Inc., or BBSO, Inc. As BBSO, Inc. began to grow and acquire more contracts, it became apparent to Logan that his skill sets went well beyond officiating the game of basketball and he began to turn his focus on to the game he loved so much as a child, the game of basketball. It was imperative that he share that passion of basketball with youth that played within the community. In 2010, after the Girls Varsity Basketball team at Potomac Senior High School, in Woodbridge, VA, lost its Head Coach, the job was offered to another coach on staff and George Logan was asked to come on as the Assistant Head Coach. While there, he assisted in getting the Varsity team to two regular season titles and two district championships two years in a row and one state quarter finals. Something the school had not done in 10 years. In addition, he began training members of that team along with several of local talented youth in the area working with the likes of T’eshya Heslip (Howard University), Shianne Goodwin (Furman University), Arianna Moorer (University of Virginia) and Jasmine Byrd (Germany). Interaction with these talented individuals and helping them accelerate their techniques put Logan in a position to step away from BBSO, Inc. and set forth with his own business venture known as GTeam Sports, Inc. GTeam Sports is an all-inclusive company which not only supplies referees for local recreational sports events, but also provides personal training for youth who are interested in building on their athleticism and fundaments along with orchestrating clinics and sports camps within the Greater Prince William community. While basketball is George Logan’s signature training outlet, his small business provides training in a variety of youth sports. Logan lives by one motto: “You play how you practice; if you practice hard, you will play hard.” Through this saying, he has instilled a mind-set of hard work and determination with the new generation of athletes. Currently, George Logan resides in Manassas where GTeam Sports, Inc. was established. Within the last two years, he has seen more than 14 school-aged athletes achieve higher education while playing collegiate athletics and continues to increase that number. In addition, in 2013 he has begun training a 14U Boys AAU team with the youth he trains. “It’s not about the right now; it’s about where they want to go. If they want to go to college and play sports, then I want to
