Dear Family and Friends,
I’m writing to tell you about my mitzvah project. A mitzvah project helps people and causes. My mitzvah project is about bringing divided communities in conflict together through basketball. The way I am doing this is by supporting PeacePlayers international. http://www.peaceplayersintl.org/ They use basketball to unite, educate and inspire children in divided communities to play for peace, and trust each other instead of fighting.
My goal is to raise $1,500 for the Middle East/Israeli branch of the organization, because I am Jewish and I want to support our land. The money that is donated will go to coaching, balls, jerseys and much more. I wanted to do this because I want to help make a positive impact on the lives of Israeli and Arab kids and I like basketball.
I hope you will make a donation through my site to help PeacePlayers International. Any amount is welcome. I am also organizing a three on three basketball tournament at the end of the summer to raise funds; (more information will come shortly about this.)
Thank you in advance for supporting PeacePlayers International. Here is a recent article about PPI on CNN: http://edition.cnn.com/2015/05/13/sport/israel-palestine-basketball-peace/index.html
