Hello, My name is Graceanne Rosson and I am in the 9th grade at Wauconda High school. I am currently taking a Spanish 1 class and so far it has been my favorite learning experience this whole year. It is my first year taking a foreign language and the new material is complete art to me. While being enrolled in a foreign language class, the oppurtunity of traveling abroad is given to students who are interested in leaving the country with classmates and teachers. If you know me, you are familiar with my desires to see the whole entire world, along with everything it has to offer - a goal that is hard to accomplish, but possible! This trip is called Via Aurelia, and students will be staying in 3 different countries; Spain, France, and Italy! Departing from Chicago on March 23, 2017, members of the trip will fly into Barcelona. From there, they'll travel along the coast of the Mediterranean all the way to the final city, Rome, Italy. This is a 9-day adventure, filled with laughter, friendships, and independence. Attending this journey is very important to me, due to the independent learning experiences and the qualities I know I will gain from traveling abroad. This is an oppurtunity that was impossible for me to not at least try for, despite the cost. I am highly interested in learning about new cultures, foods, traditions, and even tracing back to my ancestors. This trip is a one-in-a -lifetime!! Family, friends, friends of friends, if you took the time to read this, thank you for even giving me a minute of your time to see how much this means to me! I hope to make it to Europe next year, and thank you for further donations to this wonderful experience!! God bless! -Grace attached is a link to the travel company, Acis. take a peak for info I missed!
