New York City's resilience is special and strong and fierce. Just six days after the worst natural disaster in recent memory, it plans to charge forward with staging the NYC Marathon for over 40,000 runners and 2 millions spectators. Already a mammoth logistical undertaking, the devastation left by Superstorm Sandy promises to make this a near-impossible effort. But New York will come through, and I want to come through for New York.
I will be running this marathon for the American Red Cross. Right now, thousands have lost their homes and are in emergency shelters. Please join the relief efforts with me. Donate what you can to help everyone else affected by this storm GET BACK UP AND RUNNING!
