Get Hayden to the Clemson Football Championship on Jan 11!
Organized by: Matt Porter
EVENT DATE Jan 11, 2016
1/12/16: Wow what a day! And the game of a lifetime! The Clemson Tigers showed why they deserved to be there and fought to the final seconds of the game. In Hayden's Words: "One of best days I ever had. The game was the best I ever seen in my life time; it didn't matter who won my tigers didn't give up. I need to say a big thank you everybody that made it possible for me" More than once yesterday Hayden was emotional almost to tears: when we first arrived at the stadium and when the Tigers took the field before the game. Every once in a while a special person and an inspiring cause unite many people together for a shared moment of our humanity---one that will live within us always. Hayden, for this we thank YOU!
1/4/16 Update: WE DID IT!!!! Thanks to all of you!
Hayden Corn IS GOING to be at the Clemson NCAA football championship on January 11! I talked to Hayden again today and he is overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude to all of you. It is a dream come true. His trip to the game will be photo documented and posted for all to share in the joy. Any extra money donated will be given as an early birthday present to Hayden. His birthday is February 6.
Hayden is from South Carolina and as a boy attended Clemson football games with his late father. Hayden also has cerebral palsy from birth. He learned to walk after graduating from high school and only after multiple orthopedic surgeries. Hayden could never run or throw a football like most boys. He communicates slowly by typing into a computer. I have known Hayden for 15 years and he is a DIE-HARD Clemson fan.
On January 11, Clemson is playing in the NCAA football championship in Glendale, AZ---that's exactly 33 miles from Hayden's front door! Ticket prices start at $700 but this would be the dream of a lifetime come true for Hayden.
He would never have a chance at going to the game without OUR help. We can make this happen! But we have to work very quickly. Please donate now and pass this on right away. Any leftover money will be given to Hayden for his 49th birthday on February 6th. Your name will be added to a card given to Hayden.
If you would like to pay directly to me that would be ok too.
Thank you if you can help make this happen!
Hayden fan and friend,
