Get Jacob's Truck Back
Organized by: Morgan Savard
This campaign is to raise funds for Jacob, a twenty-two year old labourer in the concrete industry, who after saving up $13,000 to buy himself a pickup truck, had it stolen out of a store's parking lot while inside shopping. He had owned the truck for less than two days. While there is still hope that the police will make a break in the case, it's not looking good.
We're trying to raise money to help him replace the truck. The truck, a 2005 Chevy Silverado Duramax, had been modified (by the previous owner) for off-roading, which is helpful for navigating his parents' farm, and also a great way to unwind. Jacob worked very hard to be able to buy the truck for himself, and to have all that hard work erased by someone's greed-driven dishonesty is incredibly frustrating and upsetting. Not only did he lose his truck, he also lost everything inside, from work equipment to the new backup camera system he had just installed. $13,000 is a lot of money, especially at this time of year, so any little bit helps. Any and all money raised will go towards replacing Jacob's truck, and any donations are greatly appreciated. With your support, maybe, just maybe, Jacob can have his truck back.
Update: The police are pretty sure the truck has been stripped down for parts at this point, and they won't be pursuing the matter any further.
