My story begins in a tiny two-bedroom house where I lived with 8 family members. We had just arrived from Mexico and did not mind living in such a small space because we were in America - where dreams come true.
From the beginning my parents wanted three things: a better life, better jobs and an opportunity for their children to get a good education.
I became the first person in my family to graduate high school, then college. It has been a challenging journey without the support of my family. They could not help me with my academics - they had limited education - and could not help pay for school. So I, like many other immigrant students, worked and went to school. I worked 40-50 hours a week on top of a full course load.
Now, I have an opportunity to continue my education with a masters. I am looking to raise $15,000 to help pay for my tuition at the University of St. Gallen. Getting an MBA from this prestigious global program would open doors I never thought possible. I will finally be able to fullfill my dream of going to graduate school and learn the skills needed to help businesses grow - my true passion.
