Can you breathe? If so, count yourself lucky. 13 million people in the U.S. alone struggle to do what we don’t even think about. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 32 years of experience, I am thrilled to have been able to teach in different Pulmonary Rehab programs. But what frustrated me most is that, in my live programs, I could only take 6 people at a time for each 6 week class. That’s a whopping 48 people a year I graduated. That’s a whole lot of people left out. Pulmonary Rehab has proven results. I encourage people to go to a live program, if they can. But for those who live too far, or are working, or any other reasons, I KNOW my online program will help them. So far: I started this journey about 7 years ago, with no idea how to have it land on the web. But I was determined. Ideas started to flow and I was able to sketch out how I wanted people to have access to REAL help. Thanks to Leah Ritz, and everyone at Infinity Marketing Empire, I was able to build three programs: 30 Days to Breathing easier, an Email-a-day for people with minimal internet skills; a kids webinar, for parents of kids with asthma, to help identify the triggers that send thousands of kids to ER’s across the US; and finally COPD success, 22 modules of up-to-date information and proven methods on managing symptoms of COPD, ILD, and other lung diseases. I have a web developer, a sales funnel developer, a videographer, and a business mentor. My goal is to be a One-stop shop for trusted information. When I join in the online forums, it is evident that people with lung disease are all over the internet, pulling recycled and outdated articles. Marketing: Doctors are busy. I often have to set up a breakfast or lunch for the entire office just to show what I have. Advertising on medical sites is exorbitant, usually $5000 a pop…. So I’ve been organically visiting doctors, oxygen supply companies, and pharmacies as well as Better Breather Clubs and Pulmonary Rehab program Medical Directors to spotlight my product. I’ve done some Online Ad testing. I discovered I need to target a certain population, who are willing to pay for good health. Unique challenge: Wow, if I could just get anyone to send me a list of their patients…. And their E mail addresses ……..OOooopps! HIPAA! So I need to convince Doctors and DME owners to bring ME to their patients. Here are all the avenues I have considered so far, and the bulk of where Angel Funds would go: Direct Mail Mailing Lists: $1000 for 1500 names. Facebook Ads , Google Ads, Banner ads, Flyers and Rack cards, Postage, Tables at conferences /trade shows, Banners, tablecloths, pens, Business cards, Office Space ,VA for customer service, Social Media manager, andPossibly more server space .Rewards: I will donate 10% of what I raise here to the American Lung Association. Exit strategy: Eventually I will sell the site. For now, I will continue to grow it, and let it run in the background earning money. Thanks for reading, and here's to your health !! Best, KW
