Ministry Details:  The Alaska Team will travel to work alongside missionary Scott Kirby. Most people think of Alaska only as a tourist destination.  And God certainly worked overtime making it one of the most spectacularly beautiful places on the earth.  But it is also spiritually dark.  The Pew Research Center recently released a study that found Alaska to have the lowest church attendance in the United States. This trip will involve several projects including ministering to local children through vacation Bible school in several community parks in Anchorage. These communities are extremely multiethnic. Anchorage school district is more than 50% non-white.  The communities we work in are Sudanese, Samoan, Hispanic, Native American, Korean, Hmong, and others. Mountain View, one of these communities, has been ranked the most diverse community in America. You'll be doing global missions in an American setting!   In addition, we will also be working in Wasilla/Palmer and Kenai/Soldotna communities.

Participant Profile:  This trip does not require people with special skills, just people who love Christ and love others.  Musical talent is preferable but not necessary.  Prices include travel costs, accommodation, and ministry costs.

Finance Deadlines: $800 deposit due by Feb 15, 2014 - $800 balance due by May 15, 2014
