BENEFITING: DMI CHARITY FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Mar 29, 2013
In honor of a BIG birthday....35, gah!... I'd love to raise money for an amazing cause. Here's your chance to put your Starbucks / happy hour funds to work ;)
Please consider supporting my aunt, Dr. Dien's medical clinic, The Kim Long Charity Clinic, located in the Hue and Thua Thien Province, created in 1992 to provide free access to health care and community services to those in need. They've served over 35,000 patients to-date. Together we can keep their good work going.
Every dollar counts:
- $150 a year can sponsor a child to go to school, covering all of his/her costs from tuition, clothes, and books
- $85 a year can support an elderly person for a year.
I've included some snapshots in the Photos section, you'll see Dr. Dien as well as my cousin Doannie and his wife, Dr. Holly Gooding Tran during their summer 2008 visit to the Clinic. Learn a little more about their experience here !
Some of Aunt Dien's relatives will be in Viet Nam this summer to celebrate her 50th anniversary of being a nun - although I can't be there (still have yet to get to VN, one of these days), it will be great to send some financial "love" from the States.
Thanks everyone for your help in this effort!!
Please note that funds will be directed to the DMI Foundation, which will wire the money to Viet Nam on our behalf.
Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with any additional questions.
