Happy New Year!
Did you make a New Year's Resolution to help those less fortunate than you to give back in 2015? If so, you are in luck, I am here to help you keep it!
On Monday, April 20th I will be running the Boston Marathon along with 35,000 others. This will be my second Boston Marathon as part of Team One Mission. It was such an incredible experience that i had to do it again. Thank you to everyone who contributed to my fundraising effort last year, i am grateful for your generosity and am asking you to extend your support once again.
Running the 2014 Boston Marathon was certainly a highlight in my life. Being able to give back to One Mission and the kids and families they help was life changing and quite honestly, what got me to the finish line. One Mission is there to help these kids and their families get through cancer. Rather than funding long term solutions like cancer reserach, One Mission funds immediate relief initiatives that alleviate the relentless wrath cancer unleashes every single day while helping to bring happiness back into the kids' world. Last year, with your help, Robin and I raised over $53,000 for One Mission. The money raised helped in part to fund 30 vital programs and services, impacting 900 families battling pediatric cancer in 2014.
I am determined to have an even bigger fundraising impact this year and have set a personal goal of $100,000.
As you may know, I am personally connected to the Founders of One Mission, Ashley and Ari Haseotes. They started One Mission after their son Nicholas fought his battle with cancer when he was just an infant. They spent 188 days in the hospital and it was because of their own experience and journey that they began One Mission. I am proud to run for One Mission and I am committed to helping One Mission make life better for kids fighting cancer. Your support will allow One Mission to continue helping kids deal with cancer by decorating their hospital rooms so they feel more like home, catering lunches for special occasions and weekly dinners for parents, and providing financial assistance to those who need help paying their mortgage, as well as so much more.
So, get your checkbook out, One Mission and I need your support. You can mail your contribution today (be sure to put my name in the memo line of your check):
