I am a two-time ovarian cancer survivor. Having cancer is a very difficult and lonely time for many people, especially when they are in the hospital. I am very lucky to have had a great support system and two parents who came to visit me everyday when I was in the hospital and accompanied me to every chemo treatment. Unfortunately, there are many patients who are alone in the hospital (their family may not be able to take time off work or may live in another state). The holidays are a time to be grateful, which is a tough task when you are in cancer treatment and your future is so uncertain. Since it is holiday time, I would love to have the funds to purchase some cozy zip-up hoodie sweatshirts to deliver to to the hospital where I received treatment. People who have lost their hair will be happy to have a nice, new item of clothing with a hood. This is about connecting with people, giving them something to be grateful for and letting them know that there are people who care about them. Happy Holidays!!!
