Gilbert HS Marching Band London New Years Day
Organized by: Christine Castro
We need to raise the funds to pay for the trip to London to march in the New Years Day Parade Jan 1 2015. The funds will be used to pay for her airline ticket, group tour, and lodging. This will be a trip of a lifetime for Nicole and 100 high school members. Please consider assisting in raising the needed funds. It has been Nicole's dream since she was small to visit London. The London New Years Day Parade historically begins under Clock Tower in Parliament Square on January 1st after Big Ben rings the noon hour. The parade passes by some of London’s most famous landmarks in front of crowds generally estimated to be near one million spectators and with an additional international television audience! Throughout the New Years week, participating groups also perform in one of a series of Gala Concerts in a broad range of prestigious venues throughout London. Participants also experience several days of sight seeing opportunities that are chosen from Windsor Castle, a College in Oxford, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover Castle, Hampton Court, Stonehenge, the Roman Baths in Bath, and Shakespeare’s birthplace.
