“I ride for the cause, I ride ‘til they tell me we don't need to ride anymore because AIDS now has a vaccine and a cure. That is why I ride.”

Gilles Marini is an actor, philanthropist, husband and proud father. Introduced to American viewers during a sizzling stint on "Sex and the City: The Movie", he has been a constant presence on television, appearing in primetime shows including "Brothers and Sisters," “Castle,” “Nip/Tuck,” and “UglyBetty”. He was also part of ABC’s "Dancing With the Stars" Season 8 and All Stars, and played Angelo Sorrento in the critically acclaimed drama "Switched at Birth". He is currently a series regular on Lifetime’s hit show, “Devious Maids” as Sebastien.

Born in Grasse, a small city on the French Riviera, Marini began modeling in Paris shortly after joining the French army where he served as a fireman for the famous Paris Fire Brigade. Marini was named one of People Magazine's top ten "Sexiest Men Alive" for 2009 and 2013.

Marini and his wife, Carole, live in Southern California. They have a son, Georges, and a daughter, Juliana. Marini loves cooking, spending time with his family, meeting and talking to people, and sports such as soccer and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).

Marini has been a proud supporter and participant of LifeRide for four years.
