An Even Bigger Challenge

BENEFITING: The Mercy Maternity House, Inc.
I'm on a mission. To find a better version of myself, for me and for my family. Included in this mission is the 'love' I have found for running this last year. Never thought I would! Never thought of myself as a runner.
Truth is, if I don't have a goal or a race to keep me focus, I go 'easy' on myself. So why not commit to do something for myself to benefit my own health and happiness AND other women.
I stumbled on a blog 'We Are That Family' awhile ago. I love it. (Kristen always seems to be writing about something that resonates with me completely and at the right time) In 2010, her family founded a non-profit called Mercy House. The organization funds maternity homes in Kenya, created to aid pregnant girls living in extreme poverty. God built this house of mercy in the heart of Africa and it’s funded by moms and their families, people just like you. In 2014, Mercy House began a new phase to help empower and employ thousands of women all over the world through Fair Trade Friday. - See more at: http://wearethatfamily.com/the-mercy-house/#sthash.lmf85jZt.dpuf
My 37th birthday is on January 20th. What better present than to commit myself to a run on January 16th and in return support this beautiful organization!
If you know me, I love to give to other people and I don't ask for anything in return. For my birthday, I am asking you to sponsor my run and help me to bless other women and families.
Every little donation counts. All proceeds will support the work of empowering the oppressed women Mercy House supports around the world. - See more at: http://wearethatfamily.com/2015/12/im-feeling-43-help-me-celebrate-with-a-run/#sthash.UczAfCth.dpuf
Thank you so much for all of your love and support - I better get training!
