In June of 2016 I found a lump in my right breast. At 35, this was an incredible surprise—I am otherwise in great health. Later that week I was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductile cell carcinoma that had spread to my axillary lymph nodes. This diagnosis was an incredible shock. I went from thinking our life was just reaching its sweetest moments, to struggling to understand how we could go on in any way that resembled our hopes and dreams. That week we also learned our best chance at returning to the life we had planned was to engage in a rigorous chemotherapy, radiation, and surgical treatment plan. In July 2016 I received my first round of chemotherapy. Currently I have completed nearly all of my rigorous plan and fortunately am feeling like life can start returning back to "normal". I am feeling like I'm ready to get back to being and feeling as strong and healthy as I was nearly a year ago. That is why I have decided to team up with a fellow Pink Sister to show other women that the battle with breast cancer is only a small chapter in the story of my life. Also that you can get back to being active, and return to doing the things you maybe couldn't do during treatment. That is why I ask you to please make any donation you can so that, together, we can figure out a way to beat cancer of all types, for good.
