As a second year Girls on the Run coach, I have seen the amazing ways in which this program helps girls build confidence and realize their inner strengths. In a world where young girls face so much social pressure and criticism, Girls on the Run works to combat stereotypes and help girls build pride in who they are! We do this through a pairing of social-emotional lessons and running activities. This all builds to a 5K race at the end of the season! The best part: girls from low-income households are able to participate in this program for FREE thanks to generous donations from those who believe that Girl Power is the best kind of power. Please help keep this program free for our girls and consider donating to this wonderful organization! Just in case that wasn't convincing enough, here are some quotes about Girls on the Run from my team: "Girls on the Run makes me happy, I like coming here." "I'm going to try my best to run the whole time today because I know I can do it!" "I love Girls on the Run because it shows us we can feel good being who we are." "I wish everyone could be in Girls on the Run. I like being here with my friends"
