Give a boy a smile
Organized by: Jessica Bailey
I have worked for my company for 18 years and recently acquired the roll of Human Resources. I have the priveledge of working with many young adults that spend their summers working for us to earn money for college. But this is not about earning money for college. I work with a young man that never smiles. It's not because he isn't happy. I work with a young man who covers his mouth when he laughs. It isn't because he's stifling an inappropriate laugh. He has suffered from severely damaged teeth. He covers his laughs and he smiles with his lips closed. He has expressed his concerns to coworkers about his unhappiness with his teeth. We, as employees of our organization, are raising funds for him, but restorative dental care is very expensive. Nothing would make me happier than to see Jay smile. Happiness shows in his demeanor, but we want to see it on his face!
