THE STORY:

I thank you in advance for taking time and reading my story. My name is Bryan. I am a graduate student from Bronx Community College in NYC and I am transferring to Citi Tech in Brooklyn in the Fall. I am studying Education. I want to teach the future. I have no plans to abandon my goal. My car being absent from my everyday life has been a real set back. Traveling to school has become harder for me. I am trying to survive by working two jobs but I feel that it is not enough. The car you see is a car that I have built and paid over thousands of dollars for in repairs. I have used this site before, but I was not successful in gaining any funds. Back in August 2015, I asked for your help to support me and help me get my car back on the road. My car was damaged by a drunk driver who skipped the stop sign while I was crossing the intersection. My car got wrecked. Back when I had to fix this car, it was horribly damaged. I had received many high estimates from body shop about the cost to repair my car. I have been told that it may cost 9,000 dollars. Then I found a better deal for 8,000 dollars and lastly 6,000 dollars. Because I had liability insurance, I was responsible for all of the damages done to my car. I accepted the 6,000 deal. By the time I accepted this deal, I posted a fund raiser online asking you guys to help me. Sadly, I did not receive any funds and I had to carry this load on my own. After 5 long months of working 2 jobs and maintaining a full-time student status, I was able to accumulate enough money to pay for the 6,000 repair offer. I gave my car to the specialist on January 2016. The specialist told me that my car would be ready in 15 days. Sadly I got my car 3 months (April) later. I have never complained to the specialist about it. I saw progress towards the car so I felt no need to complain. In April the specialist gave me back my car. I realized many things were missing from the car and many things were tampered with; I had to purchase new light wires for my right lamp because they broke it. I had to pay for a wheel alignment because that was also horribly altered. To make matters worse, my trunk no longer was able to open. I was disappointed, but I still fixed the problems without help from the specialist that repaired my car. Two days after having my car back, I installed new mufflers, and new exhausts, which totaled up to 600 dollars. I also got the engine cleaned. On the third day of having my car,I left work and I was heading home. While I was on the highway, my car spun out of control. I spun around in the car for about 15 seconds. My car bounced off of the side rail and stopped in the middle lane of the highway. Thank goodness it was a late night and traffic was at a minimum or else I would have died. An hour later, a tow truck came to the scene to collect the car. I then sent the car to a different body shop to get checked. They told me that the guys whos repaired my car before did not really repair it. They did a cheap patch up. I paid thousands of dollars for a car that lasted me less than a week. I am stressed out and I refuse to give those mechanics my car again. Instead, I want you to help me with purchasing a new car. I do not want you guys to buy the car for me, but I want you help. Please do not let my money go to waste. I want to buy a SUV that will be more reliable and cheaper for me to maintain. PLEASE HELP ME. I am begging you. These funds will help make my life much, much easier. I will have better chances with accepting teaching opportunities that are far away from me. I will be able to drive to different states and check out different teaching conventions. There are so many things I used to do to help further my (blossoming) career when I had a working car.I had to stop many things because I had no car. Put yourself in my shoes. Would you help yourself if you could? I am in no rush to receive these funds. I am very patient. If it may take 5 more months, then I will have to wait 5 months. Thank you for reading my story! I hope you guys help me. This would be the greatest birthday present ever. (I was born on May 3rd 1995). This act of gratitude will mean the world to me.
