Give Our Friend Nina Helping Hand
Organized by: Evan De Joya
To my fellow GapMedics Morogoro Alumni,
As you are all aware, GapMedics recently shut down their operations in Tanzania due to government regulation issues, leaving GapMedics staff without jobs. For myself, and many of us I'm sure, Nina was an integral part of our experience with GapMedics, always there to share a laugh or offer help. As Nina was a part time employee, she was not offered a severance package on par with the other employees. I want to make it clear, Nina did not ask me for money, but I would like to give her something to get her back up on her feet, as a thank you for the many life changing experiences she facilitated with GapMedics over the years.
I have another announcement, with her permission, I would like to inform you all the Nina will be expecting her first child in December! With the whole situation with GapMedics, expecting a baby, all while continuing her studies at University, Nina is in a tough spot. While giving money can not come close to repaying Nina for all of the wonderful things she has done for us, I would really like to help her out with what is going on.
Finally, I would ask that you do not share this page publicly on Facebook. Feel free to message it around to your friends, but please keep it out of people's news feeds, as I would like this to be a surprise for Nina, and I don't want her to feel uncomfortable. If you chose to donate, feel free to write any message you would like to send to Nina, and I will be sure it gets to her!
