EVENT DATE: Sep 01, 2013
***I started my challenge a little before 10:30, finished at about 1:45***
250 pull ups (close grip pull up and chin up, wide grip pull up, baseball grip)
250 ring dips
250 pistol squats
250 shrimp squats
I am raising money to help one of my favorite charities, KaBOOM! Their mission is simple: build playgrounds for kids! I encourage you to check out their website. Of course, I don't expect people to just hand over money, so I will be earning your donations in a way that exemplifies the mission of this particular organization: by exercising! I will host an internet stream of myself exercising until I hit my goal of 250 pull ups, 250 dips, and 250 one leg squats on each leg.
I help Al Kavadlo moderate his blog. Needless to say, I love calisthenics, and I feel that movement is a form of expression that all people should have the freedom to indulge, especially children. That is why I am running this fundraiser; many kids don't have access to a safe play area, and hopefully this small gift can help some kids experience happiness through play, and give them an fondness for movement!
