Give Cisa that second chance in life
Organized by: Bárbara Brignoni
After living Dominican Republic desperately in search of a better life, free of physical abuse, 66 year-old Cisa moves to Puerto Rico to reunite with her daughter Brenda, where she becomes nana of a wonderful family. Few months later, Cisa is discovered with stage 3 Breast Cancer, which is treated and fortunately cured after a year of chemotherapy and much support from her loved ones. This new chance in life takes Cisa back to Dominican Republic one last time, to visit her favorite chapel to thank her favorite Virgin. But as she is leaving the chapel, Cisa is hit by a moving truck, which leaves our Cisa in a near to death experience once more. Now our Cisa is in the hospital going through many operations including, teeth transplant and face reconstruction which will cost approximately $10,000. Unfortunately, her only family member Brenda has no money left because of recent chemotherapies bills and is unable to aid her mother in her time of need. Now it is time for us to unite and help our loving nana Cisa live that second chance in life she was given.
