EVENT DATE: Nov 16, 2014
Meet Nathaniel, boy of courage.
Nathaniel lost both parents to illness in Ethiopia when he was a young boy. For three years, his home was an Ethiopian orphanage.
In 2012, at the age of 11, one month after his adoption with his brother by the Healy family, Nathaniel was diagnosed with a very rare and high risk type of Leukemia. He moved directly into 2 years of high dose chemo treatment, which successfully brought the cancer into remission.
Until last month. Nathaniel’s Leukemia has returned with a vengeance — and he will need a bone marrow transplant. Bone marrow transplants require a minimum of 4 months of in-patient treatment in Seattle.
Nathaniel needs family with him during these months, but dedicated time in Seattle requires loss of income, increased insurance costs & other expenses. Over the 4 month treatment, it will cost Nathaniel's family $200 a day for his mom to be with him full-time.
Can you give Nathaniel a day with his family?
