BENEFITING: Children International
Typhoon Haiyan (known in the Philippines as Typhoon Yolanda) struck the Philippines on the morning of November 8, 2013. Ranked as the second deadliest Philippine typhoon on record, this storm cut through the central Philippines with sustained wind speeds of 195 mph and gusts of 235 mph, causing catastrophic destruction.
As an organization registered with the Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development, Children International is uniquely positioned to provide aid to typhoon victims in the Philippines. We have an established and wide-reaching distribution network in the country that is pivotal in providing aid and support. This includes food, water and other desperately needed essentials – all to help typhoon-affected families in Legazpi.
To support Children International's continued relief efforts in the Philippines, please make a donation to our Typhoon Haiyan fund. We pledge that 100 percent of all funds collected for Typhoon Haiyan will be used to support disaster-relief efforts in that area.
