Anita Hughes wrote -Homelessness. Addiction. Job loss. Hospitalization. These situations are a reality for many people in our community. What happens when a family experiences a crisis and cannot care for their children? Safe Families for Children (SFFC) offers help and hope by extending Biblical Hospitality to families in need. SFFC places children in authorized, volunteer homes temporarily to give parents the time and resources they need to get back on their feet. Without this organization, many of these children would go into foster care simply because their parents have no one they trust to care for their children. While it costs a minimum of $30,000 per year for a foster care placement, it costs just $543 for an average SFFC placement. Through your gift, we can serve 10 children out of the Rockford office.
