Giving My Mom Her Life Back
Organized by: Landon Olsen
Mom always did everything for me. It's been just her and I since 10 years old pretty much. Before her injury she was super woman. Every day after school and after homework, she would take me to the park, to museums, zoos and so much more. At 10 1/2 in 2008, a doctor hit a nerve when injecting a steroid into her right foot to help a stress fracture. Since then she lives each day in constant pain from RSD. This nerve injury forced her to leave her job managing nurses. For awhile she even had her own business taking those from assisted livings and taking them to baseball games and many other fun events. She can no longer work, is a single parent that is disabled, and is going to be forced out of her home soon to try and make it with my 80 year old grandma to be able to have at least enough social security money to pay for her medications and treatments. Any donations will be mainly for medications and treatments. I am 19 and juggling a job trying to help out my mom, as well as attend college at university that is an hour away. With God's graces, if the full $5,000 is raised, I would immediately fly her to Italy where what the United States FDA calls "experimental" is a treatment that has put on average 90% of RSD patients in remission. I am trying my hardest, but am in dire need of some help. Bless anyone that has the time to pray for us or funds to help my mother.
