BENEFITING: The Animal Medical Center
EVENT DATE: Nov 29, 2016
On November 29th, the Animal Medical Center will be participating in #GivingTuesday 2016. #GivingTuesday is an international day of philanthropy that began five years ago to encourage people to give back on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the consumer-oriented Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping days.
This #GivingTuesday, AMC is fundraising for three much needed Charitable Community Funds:
- AMC to the Rescue, which provides subsidized specialty care to animals currently cared for by rescue groups and whose health has become an obstacle to their adoption
- Frank V.D. Lloyd Fund for Guide Dogs, which supports AMC’s visually-impaired clients by providing free veterinary care for their active guide dogs.
- Seniors’ Animal Veterinary Effort (SAVE), which provides free or subsidized general and emergency veterinary services for pets of senior citizens who cannot afford to pay the full cost of treatment.
