Global Educator Program in Ghana- Aug 2016
Organized by: Maureen Doohan
Teaching in the city of Rochester can often be challenging. It is important to take the cultural diverse city of my students into consideration when designing effective and meaningful lessons. Through this professional development, I hope to gain insight into the many facets of our global culture. Participation in the STEM to STEAM training will allow me to improve myself as an educator, thereby benefitting my students, their families, my school community and society at large. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to receive training that could truly make a difference in the lives of so many children. Additionally, once I return, I plan on sharing my experience with my colleagues so they might also benefit and pass that along to their students as well.
