Tennis Program in Cape Town (Khyalitsha) South Africa
Organized by: Sarah Robertson
Identify a community champion, already serving local youth, and build a relationship with both the champion and the community.
Identify community needs, collect equipment, and fundraise in order to ship these items to these communities.
Invest in the champion by improving their coaching and management skills through training and continued education.
Partner with a university or student body to conduct research around the success of the program and assess the positive impact it has had on the community over an extended period of time.
This current project serves to support a local champion - Andisa. She already teaches tennis to children from a local orphanage and from her community. She has very little equipment to use and doesn't charge the children for the lessons. We are collecting donations of equipment as listed below and are raising money to ship the equipment to her program in South Africa. When Andisa receives this shipment, she will be able to offer tennis to more than 200 local kids. We are so excited to make an impact in these children's lives.
Your donation will help get this shipment to Andisa. Please support us.
