The Organization for Community Health Outreach (OCHO) provides much-needed health care to thousands in the most remote areas of the world. Currently, OCHO is raising funds to build a health center in rural Honduras that would provide sustainable, year-round health services to an underserved population. The OCHO Athlete Program allows amateur athletes of all ages and abilities to promote OCHO while achieving individual fitness goals.
OCHO will provide a personalized website for each athlete or team to direct friends and family as they support your fitness efforts and a worthy cause. OCHO Athletes are encouraged to set obtainable fitness and fundraising goals and will be given plenty of support along the way.
As a ‘thank you’ for pledging to raise at least $250, each OCHO Athlete will receive a personalized performance shirt (100% moisture-wicking polyester) to wear during events and training. Both men’s and women’s shirts are available in a range of sizes. Your customized shirt (with YOUR NAME on it!) will help promote OCHO while you can be confident knowing your fitness is contributing to a worthy cause. Because OCHO is a registered 501(c)3 – ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE!
After joining, sign up for an event in your area (i.e.: 5k run, organized bike ride, half-/full-marathon, stair climb, etc). Your customized website, part of our group effort on Crowdrise.com/go4ocho, will let you share recent training and fitness goals and photos while helping friends and family support your fitness and fundraising progress. Crowdrise even gives prizes to donors!
Teams and groups may also join the program. Performance shirts and group websites can also be customized to accommodate a joint effort to promote OCHO. If you would prefer to purchase your own apparel, we hope you will consider adding our official OCHO logo.
Thank you for considering becoming an OCHO Athlete! Together, we will ‘Go 4 OCHO!’ Your participation will help support OCHO’s goal of building a sustainable health center while you challenge your own personal fitness aspirations. Email Info.OCHO@gmail.com to enroll in the program. Make sure to check out all of the OCHO projects at www.OCHO.org.
