Did You Know?
13.7% of youth females in Delaware, ages 14-18 have been physically forced to have sexual intercourse when they didn’t want to (rape). 12.7% of youth females in Delaware admit to having been slapped, physically hurt by their boyfriend/girlfriend during the past 12 months.

16.5% of these same young females have been bullied on school property, 38.4% DE youth females have felt sad or hopeless almost everyday for two weeks or more in a row that stopped them from doing some usual activities and 19.6% have seriously considered attempting suicide. – YRBS 2011 Youth Risk Behavior Survey.

59% of female-headed households with children 0 – 5 years in Wilmington live below the poverty level. There's 3,000 female-head households having children 0 – 18 years in the zip codes of 19804 and 19805 alone and 2,000 for 19720.

In 2010, there were 549 women and children sheltered statewide (282 women &267 children). In New Castle County, 327 individuals were provided shelter in 2010 (174 women and 163 children) – DVCC Annual and Fatal Incident Review Team Report 2011.

Unfortunately, my three children and myself know all to well the reality of these statistics. We spent 2 years of our lives, back in 2011- 2013 - in both domestic violence and homeless shelters - and know first hand, all to well the cause and effect of these scenarios.  My experiences did leave me exposed to my purpose however. And just like that, The Goddess Project was born.

The goal of The Goddess Project , is to help instill and influence growth in girls and women – by facilitating their strife towards enrichment and self-sufficiency in their everyday lives. The project aims to educate, encourage and empower future leaders, as they begin to vividly see past their current situations by equipping them with a lucrative online business solution, plus the necessary skills to help them to be financially free.

Women are led through a series of virtual and 1-on-1 workshops, as well as an Asset Based Community Building leadership program designed to help tap into their core selves to unleash their inner Goddess; by taken control of their financial potential!

The mission is to facilitate a safe haven and creative platform where we can minister empowerment, support, appreciation, team building, and more. Engaging workshops, awareness driven events, chic spa parties, shopping, FUN-raisers, traveling - are ALL therapies of choice.
