Once again I am putting my sanity to the side and am in training for a half marathon - this one at home in Brooklyn! I am using this opportunity to raise funds to support the Cambodia school that was built in my grandmother's memory. Cambodia’s educational system was destroyed 40 years ago by the Khmer Rouge - a regime that was supported by our government - and is still struggling to recover. Your support will help over 100 children to continue their education, not have their options be limited to subsistence farming, and most importantly not fall prey to sexual slavery, which is unfortunately endemic in Cambodia, particularly among poor, rural children whose families don't have many other options for their survival.
The Ulla Tullberg school also has a "victory garden" that provides lunch for its students - the garden was created in my cousin Anna's name after she died in 2008. Your donations will help support both the garden's ongoing operations (seedlings, harvesting, a cook, etc.) as well as an English/computer teacher for the school.
Anything you can contribute to this important cause would be much appreciated, and will help me stay motivated as I dream of crossing the finish line in Coney Island!!

If you donate, PLEASE make sure to note that your donation is for School #344, the Ulla Tullberg School in the comment section.
