THE STORY:

I am a single black mother of three awesome children . Two adults ages 24 and 28. My youngest is 16 and will be graduating next year and on to college. I am also a rape survivor and I have mental health issues due to trauma as a young child where i was molested as a young girl. I have been beaten in my first marrige . I am a high school graduate and I have worked for most of my life in HIV and Substance abuse. I went back to school in 2011 and took a full course load and due to my anxiety and not taking care of myself I was unable to keep up and i was ashamed to tell my professors about my mental illness for I feared i would be judged. Today I volunteer at a Recovery Center in Worcester and I am fully vested in my mental health care and the care of others. I just was accepted at Worcester State University to the Accelerated Bachelors Program for the fall. Sociology Program. I needed my transcripts to complete my admissions and was told i withdrew to late and need $1700 to get them. I felt defeated because I dont have that kind of money. I have applied to various programs trying to get it. I would greatly appreciate any monies donated to me. I know i will and can make a difference when I finish the program with my bachelor degree and onto my Masters. I want to show that it is never to late to go back to school . At 60 plus I will have attained my Masters Degree and my goal is to help women find resources to do what I did or even just work. Becoming self sufficient is my goal. I dont want to be on Section 8 and welfare my entire life. Its embarassing to make that a way of life. I also believe God will make a way out of no way. Im reaching out to the world for help. Thank You if you donate and Thank you for just reading my story
