Athletes and weekend warriors unite to raise money for an organization that is esuring children thrive academically and recognize their own, unique genius.
Each team member of Going the Distance for M.O.M.I.E.'s TLC will compete in an athletic event to raise money for vital programming that has improved the academic, social, and creative skills of hundreds of youth in the Greater DC area.
The mission of M.O.M.I.E's TLC is to nurture the genius of children and create a transformative learning system.
M.O.M.I.E’s supports over 150 children and youth annually in DC and Maryland through the After School and Safe Haven Summer Camp Programs and has advanced 100 percent of their children to the next grade level for the sixth consecutive year. Additionally, M.O.M.I.E.'s has improved academic and social competencies including reading, writing, and math while immersing their children in daily hands-on history lessons, leadership and conflict resolution skills in their After School Program.
Having witnessed firsthand the incredible transformation children undergo at M.O.M.I.E.'s, I am dedicated to raising at least $5,000 for prgramming that is so incredibly important to the families M.O.M.I.E.'s serves, as well as the community at-large.
