EVENT: Jam Kancer in the Kan 2016
EVENT DATE: Oct 01, 2016
We started this journey in 2014 as a simple idea to raise money toward Cancer Research. We are thrilled to say in the past two years, we have successfully raised over $55,000. We know that is a small dent to make an impact on this disease, but we must continue to do our part so that maybe one day our children can live in a world when cancer is not taking lives.. A day when there is no more chemo, scans, needles, side effects etc… No more pain. Maybe a day when most of these cancers are prevented in the first place.
This fundraiser is personal to us as in 2002, Suzanne was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and was later diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. We were among the lucky ones, as we eventually moved on to have two beautiful daughters. If not for progess in treatment options, we are not sure what the outcome would have been for us. Because of fundraisers such as Jam Kancer In The Kan, there are more and more survivors and children growing up and moving on after cancer to live normal, healthy lives. But still, too many are gone too soon with no successful treatment options for their disease or subsequent relapses. This is most painful when it is the life of a child..
This year our funds are going to CHOP... one of our own kids in our community is being treated at CHOP for Hodgkin's Lymphoma.. Kyle is doing great and is getting better each day because of the care he has received at CHOP.
Please help support this fund so that other kids can have better survival rates, more treatments options and lead long, healthy lives.. NO amount is too small!!! Thank You!
