BENEFITING: THE FIRST TEE OF GREATER WASHINGTON, DC
ORGANIZER: THE FIRST TEE OF GREATER WASHINGTON, DC
EVENT DATE: Aug 11, 2014
This Golf-A-Thon is organized by the Young Professionals Council - a network of active young professionals dedicated to advancing the mission of The First Tee of Greater Washington, DC. My involvement is as a board member of the Women's Congressional Golf Association so I am playing for the girls. Each contribution can support the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Program, which has doubled in the first two years to serve nearly 100 local girls. Small donations make a difference:
o $75 purchases a full set of golf clubs,
o $250 is enough to sponsor ten young female students to participate in the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Program, and
o If enough funding is raised, First Tee will continue to provide college scholarships to two young women.
Here's how it works. I play my butt off and play as many holes as I can in one day. You sponsor me to kick some major #*+. It's that easy. Pledge a flat fee, or pledge by the hole. I need to raise at least $400 to participate. I set my sights on $1000. Let's do this.
