Good Shepherds for Good Shepherd
Organized by: Rebecca Williams
The owner and cheesemaker of Good Shepherd Cheese, Sanford Dotson suffered a heart attack last week. As a result, Good Shepherd's ability to make their wonderful Pyrenees style sheep milk cheese has been slowed. In addition, their family is having to cope with significant medical expenses from the surgery and during recovery. Good Shepherd has also made investments to double their business this year; investments that will be much more difficult to get a return on given this unforseen and unforseeable crisis.
The folks at Good Shepherd Cheese are part of the Good Food Movement, growing healthy animals, getting great milk, and as a result, bringing great cheese to our tables. Their hard work connects us to our food and to the land in ways beyond words.
If you can, please help by donating any amount to get this small, farmstead producer through this time.
You can also help by heading over to their website and purchasing a wheel of cheese: http://www.goodshepherdcheese.com/
Be a good shepherd for the folks at Good Shepherd!
