BENEFITING: New Venture Fund
EVENT DATE: Apr 28, 2013
IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO SUPPORT MIKE PASQUALE AND TEAM GOODWILL FOR THEIR RUNNING OF THE ST. ANTHONY TRIATHLON, YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE!!!
Click the big DONATE button to help Team Goodwill raise money to battle Angelman Syndrome (AS), a rare neurological disorder on the Autism spectrum that occurs in approximately one of every 15,000 births.
Funding for AS is woefully small despite the increased interest in AS, recent scientific advances and the potential for insight into other related disorders. The National Institutes on Health (NIH) will fund research for over $2.5 billion in the area of aging and $246 million was projected for Alzheimer’s disease alone for 2012. On the other hand, Angelman Syndrome is grouped with other rare human disorders and has no earmarked funding for 2013, so it can use all the help from charitable groups like ours that it can get.
There’s good reason for hope and optimism for an AS cure and therapeutic treatments. Exceptional progress has been made in scientific research for AS, leading individuals and families affected by AS to have more hope than ever before! For more information on the scientific research progress, please visit cureangelman.org.
GoodWill was formed in 2011 in honor of Will Sullivan, a 6 year old boy with Angelman Syndrome. GoodWill's mission is simply to do "something Good, for Will". GoodWill's primary focus is to raise funds and awareness for Angelman Syndrome research and schools that serve children with special needs.
Thank you all for your support!
