On August 24, 2014, a 6.0 earthquake struck Northern California, significantly impacting areas in Solano and Napa Counties. Goodwill’s Job Placement and Service Center in Vallejo was one of the structures damaged in this earthquake. Goodwill provides employment training, job readiness and search services, and case management at this site in partnership with Solano County.
All Goodwill workers have been displaced from this site, and we are working diligently to find ways to continue our services in other locations. The damage to the building has been estimated at $100,000, and we are asking our generous donors to consider supporting the repairs to our Job Training and Placement Center.
We greatly appreciate your consideration and generosity!
