BENEFITING: SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH
Japanese people are friendly and appear to have no needs. They express gratitude and cooperation willingly and will treat the guest with great honor and politeness. Yet, on the inside, most find the stressful search for happiness with material possessions, jobs, food, and entertainment to be empty and un-fulfilling. Yet, they will never admit it openly. September 1 is known as the day in which a large spike in teen suicides occur in Japan. That is the day most students go back to school where many find bullying, low self esteem and academic pressure to be too daunting. The Japanese need to know that we have a Creator God who loves them and died for them. We don't need to endlessly ring bells or bring offerings and incense for this Creator to hear our cry for help. He is always listening and ready to give His peace during the times of trouble and toil. While the country of Japan seems to yearly feel the agony of natural disaster, the people need to know that there is one true God that will walk with them as a friend and accepts them as they are. Help us take the gospel and help those already working to achieve that goal. Please?
