BENEFITING: Edward Charles Foundation
EVENT DATE: Jun 25, 2016
On Saturday, June 25th I will be riding in the LA Wheelman's Grand Tour, which is a 400 mile / 24 hour bicycle race. I am dedicating my efforts to the benefit of All Eagles Oscar. The phrase, or call-sign, "All Eagles Oscar" refers to the callout Warriors/soldiers wish to hear over their communications headsets following combat operations, meaning all of the Warriors(Eagles) are OK and headed back to base. This call out refers to the more obvious and visible injuries they can sustain on the battlefield. Many times, however, it's the invisible burdens that often alter our Warrior's lives, along with that of their families, who are valiantly and silently serving as well.
All Eagles Oscar(AEO) was forged with the purpose of healing our Nation's Warriors and their families by raising funds to provide immediate support to Combat Veterans and their families suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), combat stress, hyper-vigilance, substance abuse, chronic pain issues and the myriad of collective symptoms that usually accompany these burdens.
The website for the Grand Tour cycling event is www.lawheelmen.org/the-grand-tour-2/
Thank you for your consideration in supporting this cause that is close to my heart. If you would like to know more about AEO please continue to read the message from the organization below.
From All Eagles Oscar:
We will continually seek cutting-edge treatment modalities and therapies that will restore function and purpose to lives that have been altered following injuries and stresses earned in Combat. Currently, our main focus will be raising funds to get Combat Veterans and their families to the Brain Treatment Center in Newport, California. After years of involvement in every treatment available this is the first treatment modality we have identified that has produced tangible and lasting results in the area of neurological pathology. Every service member and family member we have seen go through treatment has had miraculous results and gained a place and purpose in their personal, family and work life. Unlike centers where issues are only identified, or weekend getaways that provide brief, if any, solace for our Combat Veterans and families; the results at the Brain Treatment Center are real, tangible...and lasting. Recidivism of symptoms is low, and those that do have any recurrence of pain for example, are provided a follow-up treatment with benefit. We can't say everyone and everything will be 100% cured; but we can say that if treatment modalities and recommendations are followed, every patient will see and feel real change that will drastically improve the quality of their lives. The Brain Treatment Center features a cutting edge new technology that can uniquely image the brain, identify areas of the brain that are not functioning properly and, most importantly, restores problematic regions of the brain to optimal neurological function using non-invasive neuromodulation.

A little background on who the sled dogs of All Eagles Oscar Foundation are...first, Brandon Soleau, our President. Brandon found himself as a successful businessman after graduating from Virginia Tech. Patriotism called after the events of 9/11 and Brandon enlisted in the US Army going on to become an elite Army Ranger. Following injuries sustained in combat, Brandon was medically retired from Active Duty but still sought an avenue to serve his fellow service members. He found that purpose in the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Care Coalition and became the Command Representative at the Center Naval Special Warfare Development Group (CNSWDG) in Virginia Beach, VA. While serving in this position, Brandon became deeply vested in every and any treatment and benevolence available to our service members, as well as their families. To put it simply, he has seen it all...and has been closely involved in the lives of everyone he serves. After frustrating encounters with several charities, Brandon was inspired to form All Eagles Oscar with the goal to take care of everyone; whether it be Active-Duty, Retired, Family, Special Operations, Infantry...whoever had seen or supported Combat and needed help. Personally dealing with countless service members and their families who had been declined by charities with millions of dollars in the bank for some reason or another became the catalyst Brandon needed to show the Nation how we're supposed to serve...through All Eagles Oscar Brandon will undoubtedly reach these goals. Working shoulder to shoulder with Brandon in daily operations is Elias Kfoury; a 21 year veteran of medicine in Naval Special Operations. Elias found a calling from a young age to serve his Nation after immigrating from Lebanon during his youth. Elias has been involved first-hand at every level of Special Operations medicine; from treating his teammates at the point of injury on the battlefield to supporting them at home; he has witnessed these same treatment offerings fall short of expectations or delivered promises. Not until he was injured himself did he really see the inside of the various mechanisms designed to "treat" our Service Members. The growing frustration Elias felt along with his personal quest to find relief led him to Brandon, who was assigned to assist him in his medical retirement process from CNSWDG. A friendship was formed, and after many talks over their shared frustrations and desire to serve, Brandon mentioned his idea for All Eagles Oscar. With a looming retirement and a desire to serve and have purpose in his civilian life, Elias was committed to assisting Brandon in making All Eagles Oscar a reality and benchmark by which all other benevolence organizations would be measured. He is currently serving as the Executive Director of Public Relations along with the role of Medical Representative to interested Combat Veterans and their families.
